I lead a multi-level team of six Product Designers and a Systems Designer. The core product of our Point of Care solutions is a high-touch Electronic Health Record (EHR) used by oncologists and staff to provide patient care. I have also led the launch of our companion native mobile application that plays a significant role in Flatiron’s customer retention strategy. In recent years, our team has also played a leading role in the company’s strategy of leveraging AI to enhance the user experience and value of our product. Our design team partners closely with our Product and Engineering partners in evaluating potential new markets and product revenue streams.

Freelance - Various

UX and Design Consultant

2018 - 2022

I provided UX/UI design services and led various discovery workshops for a research lab at the University of California Berkeley that created JBrowse and JBrowse 2, a genome browser for scientific research.

I served as UXR & Design consultant at Wynd, an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) solution startup. I played a key role in advising on both their enterprise and consumer business. During 2021-22, I designed a proof of concept mobile app for their in-home IAQ monitoring, Sentry, that was presented to board to secure funding. I was also responsible for bringing on their first full-time design hire and continued to mentor both the designer and their product team through the launch of Sentry to consumers.

2016 - 2018

I led the design of a genomic data analytic tool that lower the barrier to entry for running queries on FMI’s extensive and complex genomic database. This tool was first leveraged by internal scientists and the business development team. I then played a lead role in scaling this tool to become an external-facing companion product offering for our pharmaceutical and research customers.
